SOWK 3340 Human Behavior in the Social Environment: Lifespan Development

Semester Credit Hours: (3) sch

This course examines the dynamics of human behavior and provides students with a basic knowledge of the biological, psychological, and sociological influences on the interactions of individuals, families, and groups with society. This course will emphasize systems theory from the social work perspective. Underlying the course will be an appreciation for human diversity, including but not limited to ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and various aspects of the family and groups. Prerequisite or Corequisite: SOWK 2361 Introduction to Social Work .
