EDUC 4373 Teaching Language Arts and Social Studies: EC-6

Semester Credit Hours: (3) sch

This course addresses the design and organization of content, materials, and instructional strategies for language arts and social studies programs in early childhood - grade 6 classrooms. The emphasis is on integrating language arts and social studies content areas to plan developmentally appropriate learning experiences for students. A field experience is included. Admission to the Teacher Certification Program, taking appropriate TExES diagnostic pretests, and completion of the Block II courses. Prerequisite or Corequisite: EDUC 4324  or EDUC 4315 .
