The petroleum engineering track is designed to satisfy the needs of our graduates working in the petroleum industry. This track is designed to combine the mechanical engineering disciplines with knowledge of engineering principles specific to the petroleum industry. The courses are selected from the Petroleum Engineering, BS program to cover the three important areas of drilling, reservoir, and production engineering. A degree in mechanical engineering with the petroleum engineering track will prepare graduate for work in the petroleum industry or other institutions associated with the petroleum industry. The program is further intended to adequately prepare students for graduate work in petroleum engineering.
